How has your week been? I feel I don’t ask you beautiful people enough and as my week has been fairly uneventful I thought it would be a good time to ask you all about yours and hope that it has trumped mine. Speaking of Trump, I did find this hole in a mini golf course not far from me…
Probably the highlight of my week was getting a few holes up and getting to sit on the Simpsons couch. It’s more wooden than I thought.
But back to you. What have you done? Was there a highlight in the week for you? There definitely would have been something cool no matter how big or small, and sometimes reminding ourselves of the highlights is a great way to keep us in good spirits. I almost forgot about my mini golf session until this post, maybe because I lost this particular round.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, mine is almost over but I look forward to hearing what you have been up to.
Keep livin’
Sam

Sam, thanks for asking. Despite the weather – it’s been a bit wet and windy – I’ve had a great week. Hard to pinpoint why exactly, just a whole load of things have finally come together.

Great to hear Sheree. Nothing finer that when things just go they way we want them too. If the weather is the only thing letting the week down, it sounds like a great one!

I finally decided part of what I wanna do when I’m older. However, these final “decisions” aren’t as final as one might think. I used to want to work for the FBI. At this point, I’m debating the point of going to college. Real estate investing is looking pretty good to me, but I’m so impulsive and impressionable that I’m not even sure if I can stick to a decision for more than three months. Kinda stressful, not gonna lie. Also, I got my AP tests done and school is almost over. I’m feeling better overall than I did 3 months ago, so I take this week, heck, even this day as a win.

I’m definitely “a bit” biased here, but I’d say that just generally learning is your best bet. Take a few college classes. Get certified in something. Travel. Whatever! Try and experience something though, and you’re sure to start finding what works or fits.
Anyway, congratulations on finishing up soon!

Agreed, trying new experiences is always a good thing, and it is better to do it and not like it than not at all. Even with college, work or whatever we can always do something on the side as a plan B.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, really good news. And I am probably the worst person to speak to regarding what to do, I- like you said about yourself- have rarely been able to stick to something. My blog is probably the only thing that I have been able to stick to fairly consistently, but it sounds like you have an idea about what you want to do which is great. As long as you have options to consider, you are going in the right direction 🙂

Cool things that you’ve done. Funny… I spent my weekend in a remote town in Virginia. Nature galore, good food, and gorgeous beaches to visit. Thanks for asking, hope your week goes well.

Sounds fantastic!! I thought when you mentioned a remote town you were going to say there was nothing at all haha, pleased that wasn’t the case!! Nature and good food sounds like paradise.

Husband is busy with planting as winter is done. It will be nice to have some colourful flowers, & fresh food. I’m coming up to the halfway point in the hip recovery.

The highlights of my week were two writers’ group meetings I attended. In one, I got some good feedback on a poem. In the other, we talked about writing for magazines. This isn’t something I want to do, but I found the discussion interesting. It was a pretty good week.

Thanks for asking, Sam. My fiancee and I went to UCLA for the 100 year alumni day celebration. It was amazing! I actually just posted about it: https://caffeinatedinlosangeles.wordpress.com/2019/05/20/ucla-centennial-year-alumni-day/ If you come to LA (after Berlin 😉), make sure to check out UCLA!

Thanks for the link, I would love to go to LA, UCLA has the marching band doesn’t it? Coincidentally Muse (the band I am seeing in Berlin) recently recorded the song ‘Pressure’ with the UCLA marching band. They have played a couple of Muse songs in the past during games!

Yes it does! That’s rad! I just listened to “Pressure” and it’s fantastic! I’m even more excited for your Berlin trip now! Also, is it just me, or was the music video a reference to Back To The Future’s enchantment under the sea dance scene? 🤔 Also, Terry Crews was awesome in that video!

It is a catchy song, and I love that Terry Crews is a part of it too!
You’re right, it is a reference to that scene. The album takes inspiration from 80’s pop culture too, so the whole album will probably take you back and remind you of some more retro music 🙂

That makes a lot of sense, I did catch a few other 80’s references. Thanks for introducing me to the album, Sam. I’ll definitely check it out!

We finished yesterday a hike to the base of a waterfall about two hours from our home. Got caught twice in torrential downpours and thus had to contend with muddy and exceedingly slick bush-whacking to get back out. A good day though!!

Within this week, I have just started making blogs! I am a young professional, and I am just starting. I am a teacher by profession though. I do not know whether my blogs will be successful, but I like writing anyway. I really want to inspire others. Aside from that, I also wish to help students and other readers through my blog site. I hope what I do will do something good in the long run. 🙂

All the best with your blog moving forward!! Thank you so much for stopping by.
