Happy VE Day!

Okay, this was yesterday. But I was working and when I got home celebrated with a couple drinks with the flatmate.

And when I have a couple, any motivation I had to do anything plummets.

So today I went for a walk to blow away the cobwebs, down towards St Paul’s Cathedral and through the quiet streets.

I found this pub on my walk today, just a quick shot from my gander. I will post more when my head isn’t hurting so much.

And I wanted to use this post to show my appreciation for not just the NHS and care/key workers, but also to everyone that had to fight in WW2 and contributed to the freedoms we have today. It would have been a horrible time to live through, and it really wasn’t that long ago. I feel incredibly grateful to not have had to endure that kind of suffering.

The Red Arrows did a flyby down the Thames and over Buckingham Palace, however I couldn’t see it at work sadly. On the live broadcast it flies over the city, past the skyscrapers I have posted about recently. You can see below which ones and where I am currently working/living.

Not that the picture is the most clear! Here is the video to go along with it. St Paul’s Cathedral can be seen just after this too.

How is everyone’s weekend? I hope you have great weather and do what you can to keep healthy and happy.

Have a great Saturday and I will speak to you all soon.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak I am somewhat limited as to what I can do in London, but I aim to post as much as I can during this time. I promise to have some great posts coming your way once this is all over as I continue to explore London.

Stay home, stay safe and happy blogging!

Sam

A great big thank you to each and every one of you that has engaged with me on my travels and for the past few years, another huge milestone and for that I am truly grateful.

It has been a little while since my last milestone post thanking you for helping me reach 8,000 followers. I haven’t blogged too much in the past couple months but I am on a three day streak and I will aim to keep it going, I love this platform and everyone I have discovered and I aim to be present here for a long time coming.

Thank you again, I am going to celebrate with Italian food tonight and probably wine.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Thank you to my 6,000 followers!

Six thousand. Wow. It’s hard to wrap my head around it because it’s a pretty big number and I am very grateful to have so many people follow this blog.

6000followers

What I love about blogging is that I have been doing it for years and I am still not bored of it. That’s because blogging is optional, unlike a job. It can be on whatever topic I want, as long as I want at what time I want. I love the freedom and this is what makes me happy to come back day to day.

It helps keep me productive and stimulated. I have something to focus my attention on and gives me something to aim for. That aim is to keep blogging, growing and hopefully improve my writing and creativity.

So with that, I want to thank you again for reading and for everyone that is following my blog. You are actually the reason that I can enjoy blogging as I know people are enjoying my posts and it is fun to write for people. It also gives me more motivation to travel as I know I can share my stories, and there will be many more stories to come I am sure.

I hope you are all having an awesome day, wherever you are. Keep blogging, and I will see you all again soon for the next post.

Sam

Happy blogging,

Thank you to everyone for your contributions

I wanted to take a moment on this very warm but very beautiful Brisbane day to thank each and every one of you that has contributed to my Meet and Greet page. As I mention in the page I am very busy trying to put a blog post out there daily and respond to each and every comment on those posts, but despite this I am constantly looking at all the contributions you have made with your own blogs.

Some are fun, some are serious, some used for therapy and others to promote, but what they all have in common is a passion for writing and getting your voice out there. Bloggers with big drive to express their feelings and network with others and by looking at the comments, there is plenty of engagement happening within the community.

So again, thank you for each and every comment on this page, this is linked above and below if you have not visited this page before. It is such a great feeling to wake up to people sharing their stories and their lives and it reminds me how lucky we are to be able to connect with others around the globe.

Happy blogging, and have a great weekend/ New Year!

Sam

Happy blogging,

Thank you to my 600 followers! (From the Blue Mountains)

I recently hit 600 followers to my channel, a milestone I’m very proud of and a community I am eager to continue posting for. Thank you to each and every one of you that likes, comments, reads and follows my blog, it is one of the few things that really keeps me going day to day.

I have a really exciting trip in store this afternoon, I’ve reached the Blue Mountains and the weather is perfect. I cannot wait to get out there and explore a little and let you in on my experience in the next post. I’m in the hostel celebrating with a $2 latte from the machine, cheers and see you all soon!

The cup is balancing on my knee if you’re wondering… I cannot take photos with my left hand as it is very shaky. I should maybe get that checked out.

A quick thank you

My blog has seen positive growth in recent months thanks to both religious and secular communities reading, commenting and sharing.

No matter how large or small the viewing numbers, it is always exciting to see progress, especially on topics so important to me.

I look forward to continued progress, finding great new blogs and finding inspiration from current ones!

Many thanks,

Sam
